About Us

servicerules.in is an independent publication covering Central Government service rules, pay commissions, pensions, allowances, conduct rules, transfer policy and court judgments that affect Central Government employees and pensioners in India.

What we publish

Every article is anchored to an originating gazette notification, Office Memorandum, or judgment text. We do not paraphrase from secondary sources. When we cite a rule, we cite the rule number and the source document. When we cite a court judgment, we cite the case number, the bench, and the operative paragraph.

Who writes here

The site is written by two contributors with first-hand experience of how service rules play out in practice. Alok Kumar previously worked at the Allahabad High Court reviewing service matters and disciplinary appeals; he writes on leave, conduct, CCA Rules, and court judgments. Pragati Mishra spent a decade handling pension payments and pay fixation in a public sector bank; she writes on Pay Commissions, allowances, NPS, UPS and GPF.

What we will not do

  • We will not publish speculation framed as fact. If a recommendation is still under consideration by a Pay Commission or a Cabinet, we will say so clearly.
  • We will not impersonate the Government of India. We are not affiliated with any ministry, department, or office.
  • We will not promise a release date, an effective date, or an arrear amount that has not been formally notified.

Corrections

If you find a factual error, write to us at [email protected]. We update the article, add a note at the top recording the correction, and credit the reader who flagged it (with permission). For interpretive disputes, we will publish your view alongside ours where it materially adds to the discussion.
